The Epiphone Hummingbird Standard EC Acoustic Guitar – Cherry Sunburst brings a modern upgrade to one of the most iconic acoustics in history. First released in 1960, the Gibson Hummingbird was the company’s first square-shoulder dreadnought and quickly became a favourite of artists across genres. Now, Epiphone delivers the Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird Standard EC, blending timeless style with all-solid tonewoods and performance-ready electronics at an accessible price for today’s players.
With its solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, this Hummingbird EC delivers the classic warm, balanced tone the model is known for. The addition of a cutaway provides effortless access to higher frets, making it equally suitable for expressive leads and rich rhythm playing. The mahogany neck features a smooth Rounded “C” profile, topped with a rosewood fingerboard and adorned with elegant mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays — a true nod to the original design.
Stage-ready Fishman® S-Core electronics with a built-in tuner and side-mounted EQ controls ensure your tone is always clear and controllable, whether recording, gigging, or jamming at home. Finished with the legendary tortoise Hummingbird pickguard featuring its floral motif, gold-plated Grover® Rotomatic tuners, and a premium Epiphone gig bag, this guitar is a standout choice for Australian players seeking professional tone, playability, and iconic looks.
